Santa Cruz Tallboy (Large) - The new race sled in the stable, after enjoying the hardtail last year I decided to move back to the soft side and regain some of the ability to charge through flat nasty rocky sections instead of bouncing around. After a couple brief rides it reminds me of my tried and true Blur XC, smooth pedaling, great handling, and a good feel. I forgot just how confidence inspiring and comfortable a fully is.

Santa Cruz Highball (Large) - When you need a machine to rip people's legs off, nothing beats a hard hitting 29er hardtail. Combine that with typical SCB handling and you have a race bike you can take just about anywhere. Two Cat 1 National Titles later you can say I'm pretty convinced of this bike to handle anything.
- Fox Float 32 CTD w/ Trail Adjust - Can't say enough about my love of Fox up front. It just gets the job done and never complains an ounce. Big climbs, nasty descents, the 3 way adjust makes sure it's ready for anything.
- ENVE Bar and Stem - Because Carbon goodness.
- Sram XX1 - I remember when my Blur became a 2x, complete game changer, now I can barely ride it, this stuff is the future, and the future is amazing!
- Cane Creek Headset
- ENVE M50fifty wheels - The best. End of Story. Light stiff beautiful perfection.
- DT Swiss 240 Hubs - quick light, top off a great wheelset
- XTR Brakes - Flat out the best modulation on the market and make sure I can go fast by breaking as little as possible.
- Thompson Masterpiece Seat post - Timeless, beautiful.
- Maxxis Ikons - for all your fast rolling race ready needs, EXO sidewalls a must for the nasty rocky mess that is east coast riding.
- Time Pedals, never a problem, and easy to clip in and out even when the going gets muddy
Trek OCLV 120 Carbon (56cm)—My first road bike, just love it, nothing fancy nowadays but it gets the job done. Plus I just love the paint job.
- Chris King Headset
- Shimano Ultegra Brakes and 11 Speed Shifters
- Dura Ace Cranks (39/53)
- Ultegra Front Derailleur
- Time RSX Carbon Pedals
- Thomson Seat post
- Selle San Marino Saddle
- Ultegra Rear Cassette (11/25)
- Ultegra 11 Speed Rear Derailleur
- Mavic Ksyrium SL—these wheels just look so good, plus they are bulletproof until you run them across pavement with no tire (Example A)
- Enve 3.4 Clinchers - While the Ksyriums are great bulletproof training wheels, things have gotten a bit faster on the old Trek with these wheels. Laced up to Chris King hubs they have a ton of snap and give me an extra advantage when I need it. Most importantly, these wheels stay planted in all types of wind and I never felt like I got blown around by a big crosswind gust. Awesome! Only negative, the matte black finish makes my bike look way to fast.
- Continental 4000s Tires - Great grip, compliant, light and fast
Santa Cruz Blur XCc (Large)—By far the best bike I’ve ever ridden, sexiest too. I know everyone is shifting to 29ers or now is it 650Bs? Is it back to hard tails as well or are full suspensions still cool? I’m not sure, but I love my 26er dualie. It climbs well and I can stay seated through almost anything and just keep power to the ground. Not that I’ve had tons of experience with 29ers but I really like the quicker more responsive handling Blur. It is absolutely unreal, so quick and responsive, love it! Go Santa Cruz!
- Fox Float 32—100mm of plush goodness, nothing beats a Fox up front.
- Easton EA 70 Stem
- Thomson Seatpost—just the best
- Selle Italia Elite Saddle
- Chris King Headset
- Easton Monkey light XC bars 26.5 wide
- Avid XX brakes—best feeling lever on the market
- Avid XX 10 Speed Trigger Shifters—love that all shifting is done with the thumb
- Sram XX Chaining/Front Derailleur
- Time ATAC Carbon Pedals—never had an issue getting in…ever.
- Fox Float RP23 Rear Shock
- Sram PC-1091R Chain
- Sram XX Rear Derailleur—I like the “pop” that lets you know the bike shifted
- Sram XG-1099 Cassette (11-36)—Shifts beautifully in the mud, very impressive
- Stan’s No Tubes ZTR Crest Rims on DT Swiss 240S Hubs—light, fast, and strong. Great Tubeless setup.
- Maxxis Ikons—Fast rolling, good grip, just a great race tire
- Maxxis Beaver—Unreal for the mud and wet roots, check my post on Collegiate Nationals, was very impressed with it, lots of traction on a tractionless day
